Hermansson PA playthough attempt

I borrowed my friends camera and tried to do a playthrough video. This was the first attempt and I just stuck the mic (SM57) in front of the speaker but not in the spot I usually use. It's a little closer to the center of the dust cap than I prefer, but oh well. Low output humbucker (bridge only). Speaker was a Peavey JSX. I just tried to play with some of the switches and channels.

FWIW, trying to match up the video and audio sucks if you don't know what you're doing and I'm sure using iMovie and Garageband(2008 version! ) doesn't help either.

I got a major GAS attack the first time I saw the build thread of this amp. Luckily the financial and timing stars aligned and I was able to get it. My Fortin is still my number one amp, but for a multi-channel amp this thing is awesome. I just love the whole converted PA thing too.

Yeah, He's working on his own amp. Last he posted was in July when he got his custom transformers.

He is far from a modder. He guts old amps and completely rebuilds them into something that in no way resembles what they were. Only the iron is the same. I'm sure you didn't mean he's just a 'modder', but I wanted to point this out regardless.

His production amp is gonna be insane.

Yeah man, this thing is awesome. Each of the three channels sound like three totally non related independent amps. I believe you about your Sound City. It also kind of kills me that the "need" I had for this amp (not just the burning desire ) fell through shortly after getting it. I was really looking forward to using it live.
