well I could try.....but honestly I've never been that type of fanboy, I love metallica (fav band) and James is tha' man........ but I'm not trying to duplicate James' tone for myself.......I'm more into my own tone..... but again, it's fun as hell to try to mimic the heroes too

It's crazy how over the years they STILL keep the hardcore fans.

Listened to TDTNC, and to be honnest, I dig the intro, doesnt sound 'tallica to me but... and after when there's the NWOBHM kinda-jam, I don't think it fits with the rest at all..

And the clean is heavier than the overdrive

I could give the album a try tho, but if I don't like it, i want my hour back !

Very cool vid man, thanks for sharing. I have been really digging the tones on the recent metlive downloads. James' distortion sounds sick. How ever I love my VH4 and Vh4S they way they are, but maybe changing the tubes and preamp tubes/bias in the Vh4 mono to sound more like my VH4S. I just tend to prefer it over the Vh4 mono. I guess I got lucky when I got it used and slapped in some ruby BSTR's
