Is this a Vintage 30 Speaker? I looked on the Celestion web site and could not find any info. Thanks in advance.

Yes. In fact, that is the very first version of a V30, made for Marshall back in 86 I believe. It is a 'crispy' sounding speaker if you will, with a pronounced top end compared to other later versions of V30s. I like em but some do not. But they are a little different than say the Mesa version that has a smoother tone with less highs. You can only get them as an OEM replacement for a Marshall AV or BV cab, or find them in a used AV or BV cab. I see them sell for 70-80 bucks.

I believe they rated those at 70w as well right?
I believe so. 1960AV/BV cabs are rated at 280w.

All V30s are actually closer to 65w, regardless of the stated rating.

yeahp - those are the ones i have. got them out of my 1960AV cab. i didn't know they were known to be "crispier" than other V30's lol... i'd like to try some other ones if that's the case but...i probably never will these aint that bad lol
