That's actually why a lot of Australian beers have less body and are watery. If they are served cold on a hot day they go down easier than heavy beers although taste-wise they just have bittering hops rather than aromatic hops. There are nicer beers to have as a stand alone beer but for drinking shedloads on a hot day I guess I understand why Australian beers have a market.

I was shopping in the beer store for something different when a Mexican guy walked into the same area. I told him what I was doing and he pointed out a Corona six pack. Not bad. Mexican beer, right?

A lot of Australian beer tastes like lolly water to me. Too watery. Coopers has some decent body to it and was an exception. My wife is German and I prefer German beers. They follow the reineheitsgebot the German pure beer laws so aren’t brewed with sugar to boost the alcohol content without malt. They taste better as a result. I used to brew my own but I can’t drink anymore.

Ha!

I drink only German beer if I can help it, and also because of the Reinheitsgebot stipulation.
Almost anything else tastes dirty to me, some Tazzie and NZ beers being exceptions.
