Probably posting in the wrong section but I figured since my amp is going to Dave (and I've been reading reviews off the grid for a while, I decided to take the plunge and join) I wanted to find all the best info possible. Have been looking forward to joining RT and in advance, I've loved watching gear reviews and hearing you guys discuss all the different tonal options. It really helped me nail my dream tone.

Hello I'm new here as well and sent my 83 jcm 800 into dave about a month ago to get some added mods. What are you getting done to your amp?

I'm getting the KS, Variac, Saturation, Loop and a tube conversion (6550 to EL34).
I felt bad for pestering Dave via e mail for a year but finally I pulled the gun. It's going out next week.

MY amp has the KS fat and sat switch. I'm adding an fxloop simple clean and tube conversion (6550 to EL34). You wil love the BE with the sat switch amazing combo pure 80's modded tone.

MY amp should be done this week i'll post some clips when i get it.

It'll be cool to see Dan. I've been incredibly busy with work (guitar repairs mostly-inlay issues and rewires) and the girlfriend and I just got a puppy. Looking forward to seeing Eraserhead's demo once his amp gets back. I'm sending mine next Monday and I can't wait.
