it was just an explanation of why I think the moon is kind of boring. Your beliefs (and other's) are why I don't bother going "past the moon" with my topics because if someone isn't onboard with the moon, they certainly won't be into discussing exoplanets and early galaxies.

Which sucks, because there are so many areas of astronomy and cosmology that are perfect for actual back and forth discussion. Even the experts aren’t agreeing on a lot of stuff now.
But that’s all pretty pointless if the validity of moon missions are in question

but seriously though, I think it's super interesting watching how it is all playing out. It's not safe from the douchey headlines like " THE CRISIS IN COSMOLOGY!" but there is so much new info coming out everyday that is pretty cool. With JWST there some rule that the data gathered cannot be released publicly for 1 year, so it gives the researcher who chose the area some time to study and publish, but now that we are into year 2, the floodgates are opening.

What are you talking about? I think it's funny that you're super interested in things you don't know anything about yet praise them as facts and settled science, blah blah blah. But it's super interesting. You remind me of this guy in actual college who pretended like he spoke Japanese. It was weird, but he didn't.

I am confident the moon missions are factual. If you don’t want to believe it, then that’s on you really.

After that you are just kind of imposing your own feelings on to the situation. I never claimed to be an expert on any of this, but given things that others have posted here, I do believe I am more knowledgeable on the topic than the others participating in this thread. Not because I’m smarter but because I read about the stuff for fun. It’s an interest of mine.

And I don’t really know what “settled science” you are talking about. It’s the exact opposite of what I have been posting about today. The stuff I find most interesting is the new, not settled stuff.

Would you please link me to the post where I said that I didn't believe in moon missions? You insist on nearly everything that "facts" and "settled science" but now that the experts can't agree, today's topic isn't settled, but absolutely, clearly, blah blah blah, everything else is settled. It's super interesting. I'll tell you what, convince me that this is actually a hobby of yours, because so far you haven't said anything in technical relation to any of the science you proclaim to be so vested in.

And also you said you do have knowledge on the topic, so I wish you would share it with me. I know you mentioned drones, and no offense to your son, but I don’t see what landing a drone and landing something on the moon has to do with eachother.

Yeah, I guess you wouldn't. You're good at avoiding answering, and instead turn to gaslighting and misuse of words. You absolutely have stated numerous times on numerous subjects that things are settled or facts. They may or may not be, but it's become clear that you wouldn't know yourself why that is.

Well, I'm still waiting to be enlightened with your understanding of why that would be. If you can't understand the correlation between a few hundred dollar drone landing itself and a few hundred million dollar one, not. Than you really have no place to say anything is factual outside of what you've been told.
