lol I'm not. It never fails. Someone else asked me a while back "what did you expect" and I said I expected exactly what was happening. It's why I titled it fuck bois instead "upcoming moon landing". No matter what I call the thread the same people are going to come in and post the same shit. I didn't expect a bunch of snowflakes to pretend to think "fuck bois" is offensive though, or for anyone to call me a bad father a bunch of times, but I guess it's good that this place still has a few surprises

In comparison to what this place was like when I first joined it's absolutely tame now.

I already knew that you knew exactly how this thread would go when you started it. My surprise isn't that it drifts wildly off topic repeatedly and is rife with insults, arguments and general fuckery. My surprise is that everyone hasn't moved on to beat another thread to death. Is it simply the thread title ? It surely isn't that the moon landing is so exciting. Or is it just you Dan ?

I feel like it’s just me, but then they will just call me egotistical again lol.

And it’s not the moon either. My Astrobotics thread got 1,000+ replies, this one is 1,000+, a thread acceptance made about the moon landing being fake…. 3 replies

They don’t care about this shit, they just like taking the piss out of someone.

I can attest your threads have staying power.

By the way and for the record, I abhor completely people attacking anyone in any capacity through their family members. That said, you are not brand new to the internet. Even way back at TGP I thought you put way too much personal fucking information out there. I'm not saying you had it coming brother, but you are not a stupid man. You definitely knew it was coming at some point.
I never use my real name or post any pictures of myself or my property or disclose personal information that can come back to bite me in the ass. Once a very long time ago I fucked up and mentioned my wife having lymphoma. I forget what context, probably it had to do with the political discourse over the then upcoming debates over Obamacare. Some people made fucked up comments about my wife's sickness.

Bottom line, people are shitty and people on the internet are especially shitty because they know there is very little chance of having their teeth kicked down their throat.

Oh yes i definitely over shared on TGP lol. I’m ok with it though because I made a lot of actual connections and friendships with people.
But then I came here and saw the way some acted, and that’s why I had TGP totally nuke my account instead of just suspending it. At the time there was some straight up doxxing going on here and I didn’t need so much of my life posted under this username.

Sure it’s the internet but we are still people. VB made some comments about my divorce one time. It pissed me off, I let him know I thought it was over the line, and guess what, he didn’t say anything about it again because that’s what a normal human being does.


Compared to Lisa that when confronted, just tells me I’m wrong about it. When I asked her what her intentions were, for some clarification so I can understand better, I get no response. That sucks. Hopefully people will see it and if she ever does it it to someone else they will already know what’s coming

I have to say bro, I’m having difficulty feeling much sympathy. First, as has been mentioned, you offered the personal info and you know how the internet is. Second, I’ve tried hard and failed to get you (And others here) to care about harm that’s orders of magnitude more significant than hurt feelings.
