Hi all!

I am about to load my Bogner OS212 with something new....

I have a Marshall 412 with Celestion V30s/T75 and it sounds killer for pop to metal, nice and versatile!

Looking to do maybe the same mix in my Bogner 212, 75/30 or two other possibiltiies!

Celestion V30/CL-80 or Celestion CL-80/G12K-100?
Maybe G12K-100/G12T-75!

Any thoughts on these mixes?

Again we do classic rock to pop to metal!

I use a Bogner Shiva, PWE Event Horizon and on its way...Splawn Street rod!

For the Splawn I will be getting a Splawn 212 cab in the fall with Celestion Lynchbacks!

THANKS amillion for the opinions!

I play in a classic rock band and I use a V30/CL80 combo that works fine for me. I find two V-30s to be a little harsh so IMO the CL 80 rounds out the overal tone a bit. Together they seem to compliment each other very well. BTW I'm using an Egnater brand CL80. Just wanted to clarify.

Jensen electric lightning and g12 k100 mix sounded pretty killer!

Ive done the v30/cl80 and v30/t75 in the same 2x12 combo. I prefer the v30/t75 so far.

+1 on the 75/30 combo, I think this is what ships stock with the OS2x12 nowadays anyway... Sounds great, nice and smooth with a lot of grunt. Took a while for me to break my OS in when I had it, I used it more for indoor/session use, so it never really got hammered hard for long periods of time. I bought it new and it took a while, but once broken in, sounded deeelish.

Peace

I think Bogner is now shipping the OS212 like you said with the 30/75 pair. Another guy I know said his came like that.

Sounds way better than 2 V30s.
I guess Bigner found it to balance better than a 30/80 mix.

My 30 and 75 are old and broken in and man is it smooth and full range, works with every amp I put through it. Sounds great with a Mesa Mark V!!!

My 412 has that mix and the thing is it works great for all genres from classic Rick or pop to metal!

I also have a THD 212 with CL80s that are 10 years old and sound GREAT!

Can you tell us your findings between the two pairs?

The 75/V30 is flooring me!!!

But in my small THD 212, I need something beefier more lows for such a small cab Celestion Celestion CL-80/G12K-100 or
maybe G12K-100/G12T-75!
Anyone try the latter combination?

You guys think the 30/75 would be OK in a smaller cab like the THD 212?

H30/CL80
V30/K100
H30/M25

I'm honestly not a huge fan of H30s; they lack fullness and are too bright for my tastes.

I did some major testing this evening and I actually am finding I don't like mixing speakers! I am hearing some weird unbalanced issues and woofiness. Go back to all the same, and it clears up!

I checked with Charlie at Bogner.....they still ship the OS212 with V30s. The T75/V30 is a special order.

For more bass, go with a V30 and a G12K100.

Otherwise, you seriously can't go wrong with the 30/75 combo - just throw down some depth and bass on the amp and you oughta be thumpin'

I just yanked the V30/T75 mix out of my 1960A. Mainly because I've decided to sell it. But I wasn't digging the mix anymore after playing my other cabs so much lately.
Now I'm running 4 V30's, 4 V12's, 4 GB's and 2 Vet30's in a 2x12.

Does the Greenback cab handle hard rock, tight lows OK?
