Have you ever used one on a Strat? Does it really help keeping the guitar in tune when using the tremolo?

Do you still want the ability to flutter or trill on the trem?
If not, then get and ESP arming adjuster. You can still pull up on the bar. Far better than those other solutions.

I have it on both of my JEMs and they work perfectly.

I have the Hipshot installed on my Strat deluxe plus and it works really nice for the most part. I also have the roller nut and I can do full dive bombs and come back to pitch every time. No locking nut installed! It does need to be setup correct or it won't work as well. But that ESP device looks pretty sweet and easier to install but I can not find any for sale.

That is the problem with the ESP unit. They can be difficult to find. I managed to grab a couple of new ones over the years as they show up on eBay once in a while.
One of the guys on the Dimarzio forums has them in stock....BuddRoyce and sometimes Rich from Ibanez Rules stocks them as well.

As I said, for me, I still wanted the bar to float but I wanted the same functionality that I have in my Edge Zero trems on my J-Customs....when I break a string, it stays in tune still so I can keep playing the song to finish when playing live.

Can you pull on the trem with the hipshot or just dive bomb?
