Just got the delivery this afternoon.

I am very very pumped!!!! Could only run it through the Captor X with phones, but, I think this is a keeper!!!

Different enough from the Badlander to justify. I like 3 channels. The cleans are surprisingly delicious.

Cannot wait to piss off my neighborhood with a good old fashioned 4x12 thrashing.

The multi-watts are great, I want one again some day. I ran mine with a Mesa oversized 4X12 (straight), OD 808 and EQ in the loop. My palm mutes rattled our windows and china. My wife was like Jeff WTF??!! Fun amp! I know folks use them mostly for metal and hard rock, but I feel the multi-watts are very versitile and can do much more than that.

Ok, I would really appreciate it if you guys who run a Dual rec (mw) could share some setting/ tips.

Also what speakers do you like best paired with the dual rec?

Thanks!

Man, I wish I remembered my settings. I just know that the Maxon OD-808 (still use it) worked wonders for tightening the amp up. Then an EQ pedal in the loop, I used a modified boss but I think many would work, added utter massiveness. For cabinets I used a Mesa oversized 4X12 straight with vintage 30s. Sounded great.

I have a Roadster, so it will be darker than your Recto with a little less gain, but here are my settings:

I'm running this with a Mesa Standard (Recto) 4x12. Channel 3 is vintage mode, channel 4 is in modern. These should be fairly similar to your channel 2 and 3, but yours should be brighter, slightly tighter (I think), and a smidge gainier. I use these settings for my standard tuned guitars and I think the are plenty tight. For anything drop tuned, I like either a Tubescreamer or one of the TC Integrated Preamp derivatives that I own (more for low tuned 7 strings).

Pepers Pedals- Dirty Tree Boost. Solid pedal for a dual rec. Replicates the circuits from Fortin 33 & TC Integrated Preamp pairs perfectly with a Rectumfryer. Any other amp I’m a TS10 guy… something special about that boost..

Try this as a starting point 🤷🏻‍♂️ see what you think.
I like the Mesa traditional cab the best. The standard OS is good too but I’m a traditional guy. I have both.

I don't know man, dual rec's are kinda gay aren't they?? Sell it...

Well, I have dialed in my settings.

The amp is STELLAR,!! As you all know.

Cannot get over how nice the cleans are and how well it takes boost.
Does it have sparkly Fender cleans?

Its funny, I don't think a Recto is "my sound", but I always really enjoy playing them. Especially with Strats for big fat tones.

Roadster is a freakin sleeper of an amp… It came out on the tail end of the metalcore scene but they nailed it. 🔥🔥🔥If it was out a decade earlier I don’t think the 5150s/6505s would have gained as much traction for that genre.. It blows them out of the water. Definitely in my list of most underrated amps.
