100 watt, 100V out, dual footswitchable volumes, plexiedroom switch, line out. I tweaked my Superlead again and ripped out the PPIMV since it made the amp sound bad to my ears. It just screwed up the negative feedback too much and made the amp sound thin.

So its back to basically a stock NMV and will be ready to rock with this attenuator whose reputation preceeds itself.

Anyone have one of these? Opinions?

I had the Ultimate Attenuator (same thing) and it was AWESOME! Sounds great right down to conversation level. Something my hotplate doesn't do (still a great unit, just not geared towards that). The bedroom switch is unnecessary (for me at least), as the normal volume was fine down low.

Yeah, I got an Ultimate Attenuator - I got the 100 watt with dual volumes, I got the lower voltage out the back too. I use it with a 50 watt plexi type amp I built - it rocks man! I could never geta ppimv circuit that I liked either, the Ho was the answer for me - especially with the dual volumes - rythm and solo levels. You can't get that with any ppimv mv circuit.

I hear ya. Its the same for me. The PPIMV makes the amp sound like crap and the THD Hotplate just sounded lifeless to me. I hope this delivers what the people are saying about it. That would be fantastic. I know nothing compares to an amp moving major air but there has to be a compromise somewhere in the middle.

+1 I bet you will be pleasantly surprised. If you've slaved your marshalls before, it's a similar sound/feel.
