Be that as it may, it is what it is. SharkDiver's SLO-r is a friggin steal now: new they are like $7k or more.
I purchased my SLO-r directly from Mike in ~1990 for about $2200. The regular head was under 2k.
Of course when I was a kid comic books were 20 or 25 cents.
I remember riding the bus to school with Moses and he brought a pet dinosaur for show and tell. I remember saying "jesus that's cool" and everybody looked at me like "who's Jesus?"

Let's not get nuts, with the 4k is a steal![]()

Great amp, but we're talking about collector value, not utility value; you can buy the head version for 50-60% of that price (used).

Most used heads I see are $2,500-$3,000. And mine was the 19th SLO ever made - and yes it sounded better than the newer ones.
How much are Diezels? Doesn't a VH4 or Herbert top $4k? Doesn't matter if it is 3 or 2 channel if you like those 2 channels more than the 3.
And collector value can not be discounted. If you want to turn it someday it should at least hold, if not gain value. Wish I would have been buying up '59 LPs in the '70s - along with Camaro RSs and Apple stock![]()

Thats why I have stuck with the used market now. I'm ahead almost $8k just this past year flipping pieces. Plenty of people out there these days that "have too" sell stuff to pay bills. Those are the people I'm always there forJet Troop":3i5r5q01 said:mystixboi":3i5r5q01 said:Just got my new musiciansfriend catalog. Didn't know how expensive these things are these days
It is not just Soldano look at the price of everything now days. Suhr, Fender, Gibson, a lot of amp companies. I do not know how anyone can afford anything now days. I know I cant. I cant see putting that much into an amp or guitar. I am a free market guy so if they can get it more power to them. It just wont come from me.
