Nope. Don't like it at all. Just not my thing.

Quality production though.

Where the hell do you find 17 gauge strings and a nut to compensate that?!

Wanna be Gangsta metal.
I am sure the kids will eat it up with their whole gangsta gangsta gimmick with dudes standing on stage behind them holding fake guns and shit.

Reminds me of old chimira with some Korn type verses.

I saw them play at knotfest

They were really good.

Their drummer is really inventive

More typical down tuned, play with one finger, screaming nu-metal garbage. Sounds like it came directly from somewhere in 2001. Metal has turned into such crap, it's become more stagnant than month old bong water.

I have heard a song or 2 on the radio from them. I generally like a lot of stuff that is detuned with a lot of groove, so I might check them out some more.

To each his own, but this is dogshit. Guy singing like he's possessed by satin, who is lodged in his asshole.. Detuned shit devil worship music (I use the tern loosely)
That people actually listen to this is amazing in it's own rite.

I can see why they would have a fan base. They most likely appeal to the losers who eat up their "we are hardass because we come from Flint" bullshit. They (the fans) probably find some sort of validation for their crap life by listening to this. I don't really dislike their music but it's not my style. What I don't get is the point of promoting violence. Their fans act like assholes beating people up. They put a security guard in a coma. The singer was rather flipant about it, which is why I posted the article. The fact that he posted his arrest report online shows me he's a poser.

People who are hard asses don't need to keep telling people they are hard asses. They just are.

The music and the way they act is just too fucking negative for me to get into.

I'm cringing right now thinking about the fans that show up to one of their shows.

do they have a guitar player ? I hear 3 Bassists and my iPhone distorting

Not really my style of music but i'll side with you on this one, they have a good sound and it is punchy. Some good riffage and not the typical black metal death vocals or too cookie monster. I didn't mind it at all.

Yeah not my thing but it rocked pretty good in the hook, I see why you like it.

Not to hijack this thread but I started working with a singer that is auditioning for the Witch Mountain. So we had to develop her voice and prep to track vocals on this track. This is the original singer on the track in the video. But when I first heard this I thought, whoa that's trippy but I like it. And the more I've worked on it and the deeper I've gotten into the lyrics the more infectious it is to me. Granted I've never listened to doom metal before so this maybe old hat to some but it really compelled me, the way they flow the tempo changes against the story and her voice. Crazy, like Sabbath meets Portishead.

There deal is to promote violence. Guns on stage and bullshit like that. Oh where so bad because we come from Flint, Mi. It's all a bunch of whinny bullshit.

Who would want to support this crap?

doesn't sound Whiny to me. sounds really dark and intense. And I'm not sure they are promoting violence as opposed to talking about their lives. maybe thats what they have to relate to , not everyone has a convertible corvette and cases of hair spray...

This is the furthest thing that I would ever play or write.....But I do LOVE metal (or what ever you want to coin this) not over the top but solid.

"not everyone has a convertible corvette and cases of hair spray" How true, fucking laughed my ass off after reading that.

Not bad. I liked the tune in the OP better than the one in the link. I'm from that area in MI and this reminds me of some of the garage bands we did around there growing up. It's a fuckin bleak place and the music fits.
