Holy crap Laney! NAD

So after reading mailmans post about finding a markIII, and while looking for one snagged a good deal on a Laney gh100l. Always heard they sounded like pissed jcm800's so I got it. Took it to the rehearsal spot to try next to my 800, and holy shit are these things mean, and maybe even as loud or louder than the Marshall. Really a sleeper amp. Got it for half what my 2204 cost, and so far seems to be on par with it. Gonna throw some tubes at it cause I've never really cared for 5881's and try to get a short phone clip of it next time I'm there.

Congrats man! I've owned a GH100L and a VH100R, they are great. They respond really well to tubescreamers as well! They cover just about everything, and do it well. If you step into real high gain territory they start to leave a little bit to be desired, but awesome tone and super versatile!

I bought a bunch of amps last year to sell one of which was a GH50L, it's the one amp I wish I'd kept. I love the dual boost thing the amp has. It just sounds amazing, really nice cleans and the high gain JCM800 thing going on. I didn't think the dual boost preamp thing would work for me but it was really well thought out. As soon as I sell the GH100TI I still have I'll probably pick up another GH50L.

A rehearsal studio that I used to go to used to carry these amps. Totally fun to play. Very mean sounding indeed. They always sat well in the mix.

i have a GH100S which became the GH100TI. im not totally sure what the differences are between that and the regular GH's, i think it might have an extra preamp tube or something, but whatever the case its like black sabbath in a box. heres a clip i made

That's rad. I'm not using the extra preamp gain stage just boosting the normal channel with a maxon so far. I have tried the extra gain stage with the boost and its brootz for days. Really thick ripping mids on this thing. Wish I had a way to post a clip. My old zoom shit the bed a couple years back and I never got another one.
