Is that Tag in the YouTube vids at the beginning of the TGP thread? The dude in those vids reminds me of Tim Treadwell. The dude who went to live with the grizzlies and then got eaten by one.

Yes, i think that's him. Funny, Buzzy HATES the Yankees..

I loved that documentary with Treadwell called Grizzly Man. The Dumble is TAG's Grizzly, mythical beast that's he's been obsessed with since birth and needed to indulge his life with. :D But eventually the beast will consume him.

Yeah...I saw that as well, great stuff

I wonder if he has any buyers remorse
Dropping that kinda cash, how good can it be?
I'm a bit guilty myself though, I paid a bit
more for a CCV--No remorse here
But 50K, damn.. It could be a good investment piece
though.
In my opinion the TR Type3 that cop those tones and
even more. How many times does the dude have to play
Politician? More power to him! \:D/

not a solid investment if you ask me, but hey, what do I know.

Even if I was loaded, I would never buy something that incredibly overpriced. OR, perhaps I would, say how much it sucks, and then smash it with a baseball bat in my dissapointment, and swap it out for an axe FX, and film the whole thing and post on TGP.

What surprises me the most is that mister Brad didn't buy one before

Nah seriously, with 50 large you could get an awesome car (or a nice car and a few amps) or something... I would have to make in the 7 digits before dropping that $$ on a amp. unless it gives SRV skills

Well....A few of us...well...quite a few of us have spent that much or more on amps...just not all at once...lol!! :D

You can buy a brand new Ford Mustang GT500 for that price.

But how can it be an investment if he mods it? 50K just isn't that much to some people. Hope he loves it.

To spend 50.000 on an amp is beyond belief. Yes, you can buy a fine new car for that money.
But in 2 or 3 years the car will have lost half its value, as a must-have as well as in money. So in the end, if you have the money, the Dumble is a better investment in comparison.

in this economy, i dont think there's anyone that would:

A) have the guts to put that kind of cash on their gear with one single thing and

B) has that kind of cash to blow in the first place

to be honest, neither would be a wise investment. still, if it gets you that tone.... :D

For the record, I think spending that kind of money on an amp is just stupid. IMO, it sounds like a million other amps I've heard in my life.

But what strikes me the most out of the whole thing is that the guy dumps $40,000 on an amp on the same day he finds out he lost 75% of his retirement savings. Did I read that right? If that really happened, wouldn't he just turn around and sell the amp? OK, so maybe he doesn't need the retirement money now. And maybe he feels he could sell the Dumble when he retires. But you'd think that after finding that out, he'd pull out of the amp.

Really, I could care less, it just strikes me as odd.
