Hi!

EDIT...
A friend borrowed my amp for their upcoming record....
This is a raw mix....no eq/compressor etc. on the guitar.
SM57/4x12 with V30:s

What do you think?

This is the amp from the video below.

My very first from scratch-amp i built. :)
This is a true High gain amp!!
It has a very fun Shape control, (2nd control from right), where i can change the character of the gain-channel.

Not very fun playthru video but here it is.
Sound from video-camera :(
...the guitar player needs some

It sounds good!

Did you design it yourself? Gutshots?

impressive design, very well done. cathode follower? how many stages? what program did you use for the PCB layout, and what are the transformers? what did you choose for the primary impedance?

looks great thanks for posting dude

Thanks!

Gain channel has 5 gainstages...inspired of the swedish forest.... :)
Old P-cad was used for PCB:s
No cathode follower for tone stack. only in loop.
Tranformers are nothing special....this was just a test to see if i could get it work.
Main transformer is a custom winded toroid. Hammond choke and output transformer with 1700 primary.

Looks great  Nice job
I'm having a little trouble finding common ground between 5 gain stages and the Swedish forest
Care to elaborate?  :D

sounds better than most "professional" amps in this clip, lol

Sounds great!

About the Swedish forest and 5 gain stages....the Swedish forest is really dense with a lot of limbs....
...and the way the 5 stages are connected in this amp is very similar to it

...it really differs from anything else i have seen :)

Is this your amp?

Yes!
This is my third amp i built....

But it became to muddy/fuzzy  ...I have discarded this circuit

I am now designing my fourth amp that will have the circuit from the one in this Topic with some more fetures to change the character of the gain channel.
...(starting to get a lot of amps now  )...

Thank you very much....

I really appreciate all the positive input from all of you guys

This is a hobby for me so I only get clips from people borrowing it for recording.
If I get some good clips I post them here
