Just received the stupid mint SDX-330 the other day to finish off the fx part of the rig, still need to replace that Rane with either a bradshaw or RJM Gizmo as I have no way to defeat each piece without hitting the bypass switch.

PODXT Pro
Lexicon MPX-1
Roland SDE-3000
Roland SDX-330

Cons of my homebrew,

Just a tad heavier than an axefx
Grab and go is a little more into it
Prog power of all units combined still way less than an Ultra
May have an issue going on plane with this

Nothing I cant overcome right??

Cliff....just messing around :D

That's a massive Axe-Fx.

I am hoping that Cliff catches on and wants to talk scratch for my design.

You are missing an essential piece of the puzzle............

Got to love that pink paint splash Arts have :D

I am done with amps as soon as I score a Plexi type amp, I am having a great time with rack gear and plan on buying more
:)

I have not bought a new amp in about 1 1/2 years, so far so good :D I do need to either finish a pre amp or do a trade with Olaf and score a killer plexi and that is it. My crap playing sounds the same no matter the amp.

I have a few peddles, I have a killer Tube vibe that rules

i actually love the pod pro xt, i wish i kept it, i currently still have the xt bean and it does sound different recording with the 1/4" outs compared to the XLR's. i should throw one in my rack

Sounds like you need an Uptown Flash to go wtih your Rane.

You could switch any of your effects on or off with everything in parallel. Midi PC can pretty much turn ANY of the jacks on or off.

But tone is in the gear!!!! I bet you have the common problem that plagues many players.....trying to play leads with rhythm picks. Get some lead picks and you should be all set. :)

Without diving too much into your business, may I ask how much you dropped into the whole rack?

About the price of an Ultra, give or take a C-note. This also doubles as the wet side of my w/d rig so dual purpose :D

Looks like you have about the same problem with your rack as I do.

I bought most of it before I had heard of Axe Fx.
