Love the functionality of it. The tones sound good on the demo. But, we all know how that goes for an in person experience. Also, I'm not sure how confident I would be with the lifespan of the motorized pots. It is exciting to see the analog world moving to these all in one solutions. ei.. the Suhr, Diezel etc.

About the motorized pots, the lifespan totally depends on the implementation. My Soldano/Caswell X99 preamp from the early 90s is still going strong after all those years. Not a single repair. I'm the third owner. I use it almost everyday. I also have an old Fostex "Dancing Fader Remote" with high-end motorized faders from late 80s that controls an antique Fostex Foundation DTD. The machine came from Soundstorm Studio in NYC (RIP). They did the soundtrack for Batman Returns with that very machine. Works as good as new. So if the Hook guy is a good mechanical/electronic engineer, it might very well be super-solid.

I can't imagine anyone changing their EQ settings enough to worry about, or even warrant the use of motorized controls, but, I think they're cool! Who doesn't? If I need to lessen my preamp gain, I simply back-off on my guitar volume pot. If you have a well designed amplifier, this is SOP. I asked because the amp has a Marshall meets VOX sound that I think is unique. Does anyone else hear it the same way?

That is what I think is the best thing about it. Being able to shift the eq with different gain settings is what appeals to me. add in changing IR's . I look at in the context of live in a cover band, covering multiple genres. But, I would have to be in love with the core tones and feel of the amp. The demo does sound good. And I hear the Vox/Marshall thing. Looks like it has multiple voicing too.

Its pretty cool that those voicings all came from the same circuit, it really does sound like totally different amps in the different settings
