I find a condenser mic to be second best but SM57 close mic is so misleading and can be manipulated far too easily IMO.

I remember hearing a demo of 7-8 amps on YouTube and they all were manipulated to sound nearly identical.

I made this decision after recording mixing and mastering a few CD’s.

Phone mic gets the point across though it too can be misleading if not done right.
