How about a new amp, maybe Orange or Bogner? :)

Hi guys,

Really been craving something new lately. I have a PWE, 20th Shiva and BFG modded Dual Rec.

Have a serious urge for something different and an Orange or Bogner Goldfinger or XTC pops to mind quite often.

I am also not opposed to selling one of my current amps, which will not be easy as I love them all.

Suggestions or thoughts?

What do you all think about Orange amps?

Before you buy a new amp, you should try some new speakers in one of your cabs. I'd recommend trying out some creambacks!

I almost bought a pair from Avatar yesterday cause they sound so good.

Creambacks are nice no doubt. I find regular old Greenbacks or the new Lynchbacks, a little more to my liking though.

I replaced the creambacks in my Stone Age with G12K-100s and it aounds better.

My XTC, and Diezels havent been getting much playtime. I have really been wanting to try the Goldfinger. Great clean and a little less gainy than what I'm playing.
BUT, a friend of mine just picked up an Orange OR-100 that sounds fantastic. Got me gassing for one for sure.

Get a Rockerverb or Thunderverb. They sound terrific albeit unique.

Since u already have a bogner , get an orange. The rockerverb is a fantastic sounding amp that is Brit flavored but a little more bottom them a Marshall. Bogners all share that similiar voicing that is creamy and sort of compressed so I don't find their models different voiced enough to justify having a few unless thata what you want.
