I love how guitar #1 opposes guitar #2... I use a similar technique myself. Sounds great!
 
I am liking that Brootalz amp. I wasn't sure at first, but I am liking it much better with the boost on, and then the gain dialed back.

The Angle Severe amps are cool as well.

I am also finding the powerful ability of that "CF Comp" knob. I never really used it before, but I am finding it REALLY helps getting better balance out of my baritone 7-strings. Turn that knob up a tiny bit, and my top string comes back into the mix. Without it and it seems like my top string is like 4 times quieter than the strings next to it.

I just installed 14 today today. Can't wait to put some volume behind some of this stuff.

You guys get to try the new Amp Factory and Fractal UltraRes IR's Cliff included in 14 yet?
 
Its weird because my global noise gate was already at 0. I didnt have to change it :confused:



I have never been much of a fan of the direct sounds of anything, but the last few updates I have not even bothered to turn on my power amp and cab. Been running mostly through monitors. I guess it is finally getting to the point where it is good enough :lol: :LOL: I guess I need to start checking more IR's. It definitely seems like the focus will be on these for the future.

Hey Shask, remember back in the day at Harmony Central when you and I were going thru amps like a bag of Doritos? :) Nice we have kept an amp longer than a week. :D

Just curious, what monitors are you using? I had some Rokit 5s years ago but didn't really like them too much. I need to get something because I don't like the headphones much.

I still have my Triple Rectifier. I have had it for years. I am starting to think about selling it though to get a Matrix or something because I am never using it anymore.

I have some older M-Audio SP-8's. I have had those for years also, lol. They sound pretty good, just not very bass heavy. I have had a lot of the same studio stuff for a long time, since I have always liked Synths, Samplers and other noise making stuff.
