How and where do you store your guitars?

I used to keep them on stands in a spare room where the temp gets up to 85 in the Summer and 65 in the Winter, never had a problem. A couple years ago one of my Carvins neck warped and I noticed a few fingerboards had shrunk, now I keep my guitars in their case stored either under my bed or in a closet.

In their cases in my jam room in the basement for the most part, with the exception of one or two hanging out in the living room (also in cases). I have a cheapo or two and a good warwick bass that don't have cases, they wind up hanging on the wall or on a hercules stand.

Room in the basement holds at a pretty consistent 60-62 degrees year 'round and I run a humidifier in the winter months.

Thanks, that's what I need to get this Winter, a humidifier. If i keep the guitars out, I tend to play them more often.

3-4 out on stands in the living room (steady temp year round) the rest are in cases in closets.

Hanging on my wall in my guitar room. It's in the basement so I monitor the humidity and run a humidifier in the winter. I have central air so keeping the temperature regulated is not a problem.

It really depends you live too. I live in Chicago so harsh summers and winters.

half of them are hanging on the wall of my room, the other half is in their cases.
i try to rotate them so that all my guitars get played.

I got one of those racks that hold like seven guitars, which works because I'm not made of money and only own four. They're in my bedroom because I have roommates, and since I spend all my time playing, I want them somewhere I'm going to be often.

cases for reasons mentioned...also keeps the strings fresh, and ive seem bridges rust too..

always in the case from now on.

Theres like 80% humidity where I live.....extremely humid so I keep them all in their cases now.

I have a Rockstand rack that holds five guitars and a bunch of guitars on single stands in my music room. Been thinking about getting some wall hooks to clear some floor space. I used to keep two or three guitars out at a time but got tire of pulling stuff out of the closet and putting something up. It was tedious, especially if I changed my mind. After awhile I said "fuck it" and put all the guitars out to make everyone of them easily accessible.

Mot too worried about temp or humidity, I can do my own set ups and take care of fret sprout if need be.

I have a dozen on the wall and another dozen or so multi stage floor racks. They ony get put in a case it they leave the house

Always in the case for me. It's a bit more of a hassle, but it's safer.

Hanging.

In the case, but I also have a dehumidifier and humidifier running in my basement depending on the season.

I keep 10 guitars on wall hangers, and the other 38 in climate controlled storage. ;) I have two more on the way this week... A 1980 Gibson LPC ebony, and a EBMM Axis.

(actual guitar) Clean as they come! :)
