What rep? Had one for 20 years then gone. New one lasted a couple weeks. Next one doesn't even answer emails.

Sweetwater is not what it used to be.

I've had the same rep for more than ten years. Good guy. Always follows up on purchases. I drove up there once to pick up an amp and he gave me a tour of the entire place. It's pretty cool.

I like my guy at Vintage King better than my Sweetwater guy. I don’t get all the SW rep memes. Mine doesn’t return emails, never calls me, and if I need help or wanna talk gear, we play phone tag for 3 days.

I think mine moved onto 50 point inspection.

You know whos blowing me up these days? The Red Cross!
I'm 0- blood type and donate a few times a year, but have never been called so much as of late.
Must be a blood shortage...

The idea of blood transfusions is sick. I used to donate plasma for beer money back in the day. If they were offering a thousand bucks I'd tellum to kick rocks.

I don't like buying from SW. I had a rep once and he was always giving me bad advice. I posted about it on a forum and many recommended their great rep so I picked one.. his prices were higher than my former rep. I've been buying from MF for 30 years and love them. I've got a new rep emailing me from MF who used to be a pro guitarists from a famous Christian band and lives in Southern Cali. At least I finally got one with some experience in the industry now.

Well it makes me feel good for two reasons...

First, 0- blood everyone can use, Universal Donor.

Second, three or four blood donations a year helps keep my iron and ferratin at normal levels. Id rather donate blood to keep my levels at bay rather than sit at Wilmont Cancer Center and have it taken there in the big room with all those poor people recieving 8 hour cancer treatments...

All that religion you spew forth, Id figure you to be a kinder, more helpful person? :dunno:

I shop local when I can. Only when my local music store can't help me, will I turn to corporate music stores. I do enjoy popping in to HQ when I find myself in Ft. Wayne though, just to go down the slide.

I'm religious because I am not kind or helpful. Imagine how I'd be if I wasn't religious. Now you understand. But I don't believe in blood or organ donations.

I'm pretty close with my rep. Actually it's about the end of the month isn't it? He usually comes over to paint my toe nails and sings "over the rainbow"

I actually have a really good one. Very honest, very knowledgeable, sharp. He's one of the senior ones. I also like that he knows I'm not a big spender and does not contact me very frequently. I still feel a little bad for him though, as it's like working for the JW church.

Just for entertainment's sake, I read a few of the reviews on glassdoor today. Wow, this one made me not want to buy from them again.

"They forced us to watch Dave Ramsey religious themed personal finance videos in training to prepare us for living with low income… this was my first major red flag."

My guy just seems like a regular sales guy. Just a standard sales guy who happens to specialize and know some stuff about guitar gear, but not at some super expert level or anything like that. I'll get thank you texts for buying stuff but they're obviously sent because of sales / marketing policy out of obligation so who cares. They're not offensive or anything but they may as well be automated and sent by a machine so I ignore them.

They have a ton of stuff and they can get it to me quick and at a good price though so I'll keep shopping with them for now.
