  You honestly think I can't hear 18k?

Edit: Just checked, and I can hear up to 21k. I can't hear the 22k they have.

15000 on monitors with some volume, man the years of abuse are showing itself.

16-17 for me....no headphones though.... that test sure cleared my dogs out of the room.. :D

dude... 16 k on my broke ass laptop speakers... I think I can get to 18 with my bose.

Time to turn it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I could barely hear 18k, but it made my ears feel like they were bleeding. Damn I hated that.

I'm at home listening testing on better speakers. I have the speaker volume up pretty high and can hear 16k ok. I hear something at 17k and 18k but I'm aware that its not the fundamental I hear...the pitch is actually lower than the 16k stuff...probably just harmonic distortion.

If you listen with good headphones, it's a lot easier. With shitty computer speakers, it's going to be harder.

17k. i'll be 54 in june. if you were my wife i couldn't hear you either.

16k on AKG headphones, 17k on my Rokit8 KRKs. Couldn't hear 17k at all on the headphones, but heard a lower frequency on 18k but not the 'higher' pitch. Crazy.

I heard 18K clearly...and it hurt my eyes. Using AKG K240, old style high impedance headphones at an average music listening level. So even with their slight high frequency roll-off, it was quite apparent. 17KHz made me rip off the headphones.

Of course all this tells me is that I hate hearing 17KHz and up if it's just one frequency like that.

anything feeding back that high hurts...

i still have a head ache from listing to it earlier...

i went to the ear meter people had a print out...

above average hearing up too 27K...

that was 3-4 years ago.. doubt i coudl do that now but i did hear 18k clearly on acient laptech speakers

no joke,

I'm starting to understand why eveyrone on the board a few years back said my clips were dark. I hate the spikey high end but it seams some people need it to hear up that far.

17k... I'm surprised because my wife says I'm deaf!

  Selective hearing my friend, selective hearing.

That's exactly what it is... I just tune her and my daughter right out... so much flapping... LOL! :D

I tried it again last night turning the volume up...no higher than 14k...but my daughter came upstairs to ask if I was making the funny beeping noises...LOL

I can hear all of them including 18Khz... which is surprising, because i find that if im in a room full of people speaking, or if there is average/loud background noise.. i usually have trouble hearing a person talk to me!
I think that has way more to do with focus than hearing man. I have the exact same problem.

And I can hear all including 18khz.

k, post gig test....

I cant really hear 17k, but i hear 16 and 18 loud and clear.

my speakers are limited at 20k so i heard that one.

21 and 22 i heard but sounded distorted sorta...my speakers don't go that high...
