Any difference in tone other than a multi channel on the 2017 MTL ?

I don't care for the new MTL myself. Insanely loud before you get a decent tone. The new MTL has an extra gain stage added.

as I understand the old metal's in nothing like the MTL's. less gain. More like a MC.

I believe the amps known as "Metal" and the amps known as "MTL" are fairly different from each other. Comparing a 2017 MTL to a 1999 MTL (or whenever 'MTL' started) would be a more accurate comparison.

Didnt the Wizard MTL have a master volume for channels like what Fryette is having ?

I heard there has been a change on the MTL tranny...i wonder if the 2016 or 2017 MTL has more or less being fixed for what it is and be expecting to be the same in future ?

The pushpull pots on the Wizards are durable? But dont mind nor being a bad here as i experienced pushpull pots being more prone to breakdowns when i wire my guitar... any experiences here?

You should check with vintage king and see if they have one you can preview.. they have done that in the past. Don't worry about the parts or tone on a Wizard amp- Rick used all high end stuff that will be around and working long after youre dead.
