How do the different mods sound clean?

I have heard pretty much all of the C45, BE and HBE clips and I love the gained out tones. My question is how are the clean and semi clean tones? My plexi clone gets me a really nice Hendrix type of clean tone that I love. If I were to go for Dave's mods, would I lose that?

Check out this video, at 3:25 PT roll's back the volume.
Personally I don't think you'll loose the cleans too much.. if any, Of course amp response will vary depending on which mod your plugged into, BE, HBE/C45 and how high you have the gain turned up. I'd be interested in Dave or anybody else's take on this though.
I imagine he could mod your amp so you'd retain the original tone on one input and the BE or HBE mod on the other inputs.

I think the cleans sounds very nice on my modded Super Trem, not much different from stock. I don't think you'll lose much if anything. Pretty sure I've seen Dave say he can keep one input stock as well if you're that worried about it.
