How do we get more than 5 peeps in a DM?

I've found no way to add peeps to an existing chat. Experienced this recently. Turned out I had to create a new chat in order to include the desired members.

IIRC Brian might've been in that one so he'll prolly remember.

Brian found an option (he was the starter and I requested he add you), but it didn't work. I assume he's gonna try again.

Otherwise... hang on... I could try starting a dummy convo and if I'm able to add both of you, I'll copy Brian and my posts over to it.

It worked! Obviously you have to be the starter. Don't think it was always this way; could be a setting on the back end.

From my experience, the person who starts the conversation can add more people to the DM, but the max number of people is 5 (including the person who started the DM). So if you already have 5 people total and want to add one more there doesn't seem to be any way to do so.

I think @311boogieman is asking if he started the DM if there's a way to add a 6th person to it. Is there some secret way to do so or is it a forum software limitation? Or maybe just a background setting that can be changed to allow more people into a DM?

Exactly. And I'm the starter. I guess more simply, why can it not be 10 or 20 or whatever. 5 + 1 starter = 6 seems limiting. Not a deal breaker. I guess I'll still stay.

Yes. I would be curious why 6 is the number. I am sure we must have a limit. But i think 666 people should be the new limit

Good news:
The particimapation limit is about to be raised to 10 peeps.

That ought to be enough to cover most situations. I'm reluctant to advocate for anything higher 'cause, well, "gossip / hyperbole engines".
