the only way to cure 4x12 gas is to buy it.....

Or buy a matching set for the house (excuse my mess in the middle):

I am really trying to hold off getting an Avatar vintage 4x12 with hellatone 30's or one with Heritage M's. Hellatone cab is around 550 shipped and teh Heritage loaded cab is around 920 shipped. It's killing me not to grab one even though I have no time to play it if it was sitting here in front of me.

Help?...

Easy...you buy my new Marshall VM 425 cab for $650 loaded with the Celestion G12C's, or you buy my 5 month old Marshall TV pinstripe cab loaded with Greenbacks for $625...both cabs near mint.

because with five 4x12's you start having a space problem in the music room. I guess I could cram a couple more in there :)

I play thru a single 12 with just 20 watts. I can afford any amp or speaker cab I want but the sound is dead on for my style and gig. If its not loud enough I hit the sound system and they dial it up for the size of the crowd. Last time I saw Santana he was playing through a single 12 same with Neil Young. Small amps and cabs are under rated these days but they are light and cheap and easy to move and still rock. I can set up my whole rig and be ready to play in five minutes or so.

The only cure is to buy one. I bravely fought off the need for a 4X12 for over 2 years, but I was defeated by an Avatar Vintage 4X12. They sound great IMO, much better than my G-flex. Buy it....you know you want to.

Single 12" open back combos are great for most types of music, but for metal, there is just something about a 412 that sounds killer. I agree you get alot of ton out of small combos, but for many people the thump and fullness of a 412 or 2 is what they are looking for...

So can I. I also like to gig with 2 4x12's when possible. I'm always the first one set up and ready to rock.

I quess I should keep my mouth shut since I never owned a amp with more than one speaker. Never played thru anything bigger than a Fender Twin which I did like. So I will now gracefuly bow out.

No worries man. My first amp was a 4x10 combo and I never liked anything smaller.
