My biggest grief is the slap bass in the first song sounds like ass. It sounds better when he stops slapping, but I think the individual bass parts have to be mixed completely different from one another.

Hey... Sounds like some of the problems I've had when my interface wouldn't hold a clock lock with the computer. Check the mixdowns on your end... Could SoundClick have screwed stuff up?

I'd agree with this. But otherwise, sounds cool man. What's new?

Very cool tunes! I really like Down the Road.

I think the vocals might be a little too out in front if you are going for a rock mix instead of a pop mix. Maybe try bringing up the rhythm guitars but cutting a couple db at 5KHz. Then on the lead vocal, boost at 5Khz. That will create more space in the mix for the lead vocals and you can have loud guitars basically surrounding them as opposed to being real out in front. That made a big difference in some of the demos my band has been working on. Sounds pretty good though!

I dont hear the warbling others are talking about, maybe its fixed? I do hear the slap in the bass on the first song. gonna be hard to fix that without losing some of the bass tone you dont want to lose. Good drum sounds, good guitar sounds. not really in love with the snare tone, but it works. bass drum is solid. We had a problem like that on the last project we did here, we ended up EQing the bass to make the slaps stand out less, but we never really got the bass where we wanted it afterwards. It is really hard to make a bass part come out even, when you have just an instant of slap, its gonna always stand out more. Dont know how you recorded this, but if you can find the slap spots in your graph scene, and just drop the high freq.s that apply in that part, and not affect the others, it should lesson the difference that your hearing. Dont know what type of compressors you have access to, but a really good one will help take some of the sting out of the slap. I really like Down The Road. I think the vocals are just a hair hot in most of the songs, but it sounds good man! - Jim
