How long would you wait to email a seller?

I don't want to be rude but I am impatient.

I bought a cab Tuesday night from the builder, we will call it Wed. since it was late Tuesday.

The cab was in stock and ready but he has to install the jack, the handles and needed to order the speakers. The speaker company was very close to him so I think ok a few days for the speakers and a few hours for the installs.

Assuming no weekend work this cab should be ready in the next day or two no?

Not sure how long I should wait before I email asking about shipping and tracking. I would rather not bother anyone especially since they could make my wait even longer than they wanted :p

What would be an appropriate time frame do you think?

Peace of mind never hurts. You can always ask in a kind fashion just to get an expectation and go with it. Nothing wrong with that at all. I don't feel that is unreasonable at all to ask or for the seller to have to answer.

It's always reasonable to ask for an ETA. It's not like you're pestering them repeatedly or anything.

This.

You paid for a product. If you were getting it for free, then maybe someone could consider it pestering.

just ask him for a time frame, its no big deal. Having said that the cab wasn't ready if it doesn't have speakers he has to order them and install the jack and side handles ;) It probably will take a few days just to get the speakers then install, pack and ship.

Hmmm, well that email did not go according to plan.

I know talk about vague huh. Well I sent the email just saying thanks and asking estimates on how long shipping usually takes.

Rcvd a reply immediately asking what my last name was and how he had several orders from people with my first name.

I replied, advising and added the order info.

No reply since. I've since become paranoid from some of the Internet reviews I've seen but oh well.

I'll give it a few more days and a couple more follow ups and if nothing good there is PP dispute.

Would rather not have to go that route honestly but like I said in the OP and as someone pointed out almost as an echo...Yeah they had to order the speakers and install the handles and jack.

A few days waiting on the speakers and a few hours of labor. The rest of the cab was already built. It is not like this is a custom build.

Is why I asked how long I should wait. If I ordered late Tues, speakers get ordered wed or thurs? even though I was told they would be ordered Tues night.

They are located 8 hours away from the speaker company so another day or two for shipping? I checked and they do work Saturdays so IMO the cab should have been ready to go Sat and shipped monday or Today at the latest.

Does that sound like I am expecting too much based on the info provided? I was hoping for another reply saying hey this is where we are, etc. etc. but I haven't got one back. Starting to worry a little have to be honest.
