I bought this guitar a few years ago, thinking I would give it some love, but never had time/cash to do so.

Basicly it's a custom 7 strings Flying-V, by Marc Chinoine (A luthier in Quebec) Body & neck are mahagony, fretboard is ebony. Set-neck construction. There's only a bridge pickup, it's a tone zone 7 IIRC. The bridge is well.... kind-of custom, with a cut bone piece. Goloth tuners. The headstock broke, it's glued (looks like a butchered job) but it's super-solid....

I don't really know how old is this guitar, I figure it was originaly worth maybe 2-3k, but now, what would be a fair price to ask ??

That's not an easy answer. I'm not familiar with the builder, and it has damage. So what will someone pay for an item like that? What would you pay for a Gibson V with broken headstock? $600? If you want top dollar it might take you a long time to find that one guy looking for a guitar by Chinoine. Unless I really needed cash I'd probably just keep it, perhaps see about having the head fixed better, maybe by the original builder.

Relatively unknown builder + less desirable body shape + less desirable string configuration + poorly repaired broken headstock = next to worthless...you'd be lucky to get a few hundred dollars for it.

Actually I bought it for $400 , so if it's more than $410 it's pure profit!! (changed the strings once!)

any others opinions ?
