Here's my take on Double Vision by Foreigner. There's a lot more to the guitar parts than what you might think. A lot of little subtleties that make a big difference. IMHO if you're looking to learn this tune I'm pretty sure this vid will help. I'm using an Egnater Renegade amp with Suhr Aldrich pickups with no pedals or effects except a little amp reverb.

I hope you get something out of it.

I'm not trying to play them, but Foreigner had great rhythm parts and used the Guitars like an orchestra, while still Rocking or Rocking with R&B like "Urgent" .

Amazing band, many great songs , and perfect interlocking Guitar Rhythms on almost every tune....

Good point about using too much gain... sounds heavier when less gain is used and then double tracked

Cool

Made me go to youtube to look this up

Hey Mesa, that's great man. It's such a shame that Lou Gramm has had to face such a horrible s#%$storm in his life. Was there anyone better back in the day? I really have to hand it to him, he's still doing it, I mean he's a shadow of his former self, but that's probably true of 99% of all of us if we compare ourselves to ourselves at 27! People still go to see Lou because they LOVE those old tunes.

I saw Foreigner last summer, and though the band is good and Kelly Hansen can sing like a mofo! the overall vibe of the band is cheesy, kinda los vegasy, and Mick just drinks it in, it's like he thinks of himself as some kind of a god or something, of course what the crowd see's is an old, unhealthy bald guy with a Les Paul.  Oh well, he did write some great tunes and I'll always love Foreigner....
'cheers
