How to record Direct with Marshal JMP-1?

Hey guys i need some help, im a noob when it comes to recording so ANY help from you guys would be amazing. I was wondering how to record DI with my marshall jmp 1 pre amp? Im very new to this so i need the dumbed down answer if possible lol Im using a M Audio Fast Track Pro interface.

I don't own the JMP1, nor the M-Audio FastTrack, but from what I can see in manuals... Cable from the emulated output on the JMP and into a line in on the Fast Track Pro should do the trick. Then you'll just have to fiddle around with signallevels, but that should be easy. Set the JMP at either -10dB or +4dB(I think those were the two options?) and adjust the input on the FastTrack.
 
Depending on what DAW you're using to record, some of them have pretty good amp/cabinet simulators built in. I' personally use Logic pro's Guitar amp pro plugin, set to clean tube amp with the 4x12 model with excellent results for silent recording. This is using the effects loop send of my amp as my tone, and the plugin as the cabinet sim.
