Hey guys was wondering how a Boss DS-1 would sound as a boost with my Mesa Tremoverb head? Any Dual/Triple/Tremoverb Recto owners here ever use the DS-1 as a boost a.k.a. to get a Killswitch Engage/modern metal sound?

I'm on a budget and saw some good local deals on these that's why I was asking.

Probably overkill. I'd look at an SD-1 instead. The SD-1 adds a touch of top end and will help tighten up the Tremoverb.

ds-1 + rectifier = utterly massive swarm of bees
clips too much with the gain totally rolled off. those are better suited for boosting marshalls and other Mid-high gained amps
