What a great guy!!! I've sent him a few emails over the years and he always responds within hours with the exact information that I am looking for. He's helped me with everything from basic schematics for my 5150 iii to trying to diagnose why my first 5150 iii 50 watt had a flubby blue channel to finding an authorized repair technician to even recommending different tubes to tame channel 3 a bit.

This is the guy that designed the 5150 iii... not just some tech in customer service. I have never got this kind of CS from any other amp manufacturer.

He helped me trouble shoot an amp that had been dropped shipped for an endorsee at a festival... I had the basic schematic and he knew right away what version of the amp I had when I described the differences between the schematic and what I was describing in front of me.

He got it diagnosed over the phone in about 45 seconds... we had it up and running well before stage time.

He helped me out with my EVH 50w too - he ID'd the problem straight away..

I've gotten to know him well over the years and he's one of the good guys. He has been an invaluable resource with my EVH heads.

Great guy! He met up with me once to replace my bad tubes in one of my Evh amps, top notch service!

He's helped me many times over the years. Such a great and humble guy! Glad to call him a friend

Howard is great!! He sure helped me with my EVH a few years back. The "authorized" repair shop was taking............a long time to get the work done. I contacted Howard, he got on them, helped them with the repair in short order.

Apologies in advance if this has been covered previously, but how would one go about contacting this helpful gent?

Yes, he needs recognition. He has helped me with some questions in the past also. Because of him, 5153 owners have better support than from most small boutique builders. Just to be clear, he didn't have anything to do with the original 100w head, he came on board and designed the 50w version. He can be easily reached on Facebook, specifically the 5150iii owners group.
