EBMM offers a lot of their models in left-handed versions, and their turnaround time is 2-3 months, in my experience.

Already own a JP6

I hate that EB doesn't have a true "Custom Shop" I can't even get one of their guitars with an Ebony board if I wanted, whether it be their normal model or their BFR line...

Check out Mayones Guitars. Insane tone and about an 8 week lead time.

Well, I'm fucking blind!

Dude, I know. I called up a really well-respected dealer, and told them if they could get EBMM to build me two baritone Axis SS's, I'd buy two immediately. No dice.

I'm pretty sure Hufschmid posts here. I know I remember him or someone posting pics of that killer LP he made. I'm sorry I don't have any info on his guitars but I would love to try one out.

Hey man,

I've just recently had my first custom guitar built by Patrick (I'm a lefty as well, but play righty... sorta different, but I'm also coming from playing a JP6 and JP7 BFRs). I must say it is the absolute most beautiful instrument I have ever touched or heard, and that after playing it my Petrucci's just don't sound or feel like home anymore..

Patricks build process is awesome (made me send him a trace of my hand so he could make sure the neck would fit me perfectly), and I must say I really feel it every time I touch my guitar. All of the materials are top knotch, from the woods to the pickups to the tuning machines. The pickups are custom wound by Kent Armstrong himself to YOUR specifications. I wrote a pretty long word document about what I wanted the pickups to be capable of pulling off if they had to, what I needed them to excel in all the time... got the guitar and they do everything perfectly all the time.

I'd go on, but I don't want to rant in my first post on the forum... :)

Hope this helps you out some, feel free to ask me any questions you have if you want to talk to somebody who has recently had a similar experience to what you're about to potentially go through

Best,

Hope you got those e-mails I sent about my guitar, and that they were helpful. :)

Did you decide to go through with the deposit and everything? Let me know how your build / experience turns out, would love to hear your opinion! \m/

Enjoy man,

(I would've private messaged this but apparently I don't have that option yet lol)

I would love to hear you experiences too!

And are there anyone else who has one?
