That's just insane. To be honest, I'd probably require a customer to at least cover shipping charges. Props to Dave for sure.
 Dave knows us RigTalk guys have been good to him. That's awesome!

It was a very strange intermittent problem that I thought was fixed the first time. I ran it for ever without problems. Well come to find out I didn't fix it. Its a old amp that was modded even before i modded it. Well I made good on it. Thanks guys

I am a programmer... I feel your pain. :)

I have to agree with above, IT"S SO NICE to see positive comments. Dave has done the whole industry a big favor just buy introducing his amplifiers. I just wish I had the coin to get one. East Coast poor dude here, lol. Way to go Dave, I have always heard nothing but good about him and Tone Merchants.

I agree, after reading so many horror stories, it's nice to see a positive one.

Kudos to Dave!

Hmmmmmm, I posted a really positive customer service situation I had with BAD CAT amps a few weeks ago on here and was lucky to get one response. Interesting.

Always nice to hear that somebody actually stands by his work, glad everything worked out for you.

Dave Friedman and Mike Package from Switchback Guitars are both on the top of my list for customer service.

Dave's customer service is 2nd to none! He gets a big thumbs up from me.

I have never dealt with badcat, but I believe you! honestly, I don't think very many people on this board are badcat users, its just not that type of crowd here. Now post that over at TGP and you will get a decent response i'm sure... its just regional preferences I guess...

Probably folks are more into the Friedman amps than Badcat on this forum. The BadCat dude seems to be really on top of CS from what I have seen on TGP.

I think it's cool that Dave took care of the OP. No telling what could have been done between when Friedman modded it and when the OP received it.

I know from experience that not all boutiqe builders would be that interested in taking care of a customer.

Definitely cool what Friedman did, it just shows he believes in his work. Rivera did a similar thing for me when I bought my KHR 55 used. It had an issue and they offered to fix it free (although I do believe I had to ship it to them on my dime...which was fine.) When they saw it, they realized mine was one of the first one made and offered to rebuild it for free to new spec, if I let them do it on their time. I had no problem with that. They even let me choose my power tube preference and tuned it to my spec as best the could (which was great.) They even programed my headmaster for free. Only thing I had to pay for was the new tubes and some minor fee that I can't remember. Nothing that would compare to all the work they did. They essentially custom built a new amp for me....and I bought it used. I think it was under $100 including new tubes and shipping. One of the reasons I love Rivera. One day I will have a Friedman.
