Brent hinds used to play and egc v with an aluminum neck. First it had a vibrola, but converted to hardtail due to tuning stability issues. I believe he stopped touring with it due to continued tuning issues and a fall out with the brand...
Ken andrews from failure had an egc jazzmaster with aluminum neck and stopped using it as well.
Buzzo is the only one I can't think of still using an egc.
