So were you saying it was good service, just not extra special?

The service was extra special for Scott too. Of my first shipment of these guitars I picked him the best sounding of the three we had in then and then put a set-up on it. What Scott is talking about is that one of the participants in this thread who shall remain nameless, well let's just call him "You Tube Pacino Linker" for short, has very particular preferences about the esthetics of the grain on his neck. So what I did was send him a video of the best two sounding guitars of the kind he wanted, showing the necks in detail and let him pick the neck he liked best before shipping it to him. I only picked the best sounding one for Scott, no personalized video.

But you know what Scott? I have never once hung with the donster at NAMM. I have never once tackled Steve Vai by the Schecter booth while he was walking by so don could give him wet kisses behind the ear. I have never once warned don that though his car may be fast he better slow it way down before he drives around one of those tricky things in roads called curves. I have never once been called cute by dons wife which I hope helped you out that night by me doing a little of the prep work for you. ;) That's why I'm here brother. To cater to the special and individual needs of each and every customer. :D

Congrats!! \M/ Thats a looker! The new trans look even better in person IMO (isn't that always the case ;)), but your pic IS more accurate than many of the online shots I've seen. Nice. (=

My local shop only got one of each in last week. I've never owned a Charvel but couldn't resist! The one I bought didn't even make it to the store floor, lol - in the back door, checked in and sold! It was even still cold from the delivery truck, had to let it warm up before actually sampling it. I almost went with that same HSS model but decided on the "Ale" So Cal (had been leaning that way newayz), it played great to start with and looked soooo effin' nice (compared to online pics), its just got some classy, vintagey mojo to it, a nice brownish vibe in person, exactly what I was hoping for! Picking it up this week, being setup by my friend that works at the shop, he's done gazillions of setups, can't wait!!!!!

BTW, I know there's been lots of debate over the "fiesta" single H model. Welp, viewing one in person had the opposite effect with ME, unlike the others, it did NOT look better compared its online pics (color wise, the guitar itself is a beast), it definitely had a 'tomato soup' tint to it. Nothing wrong with that I suppose, just didn't do much FOR ME, nor any of the guys checking the new batch in that day as a matter of fact. Just my 0.2. Still hope they sell a ton of 'em but that color choice, eh.

Now that's what I call service! Digi's just a little sore 'cause you got up close to teh Charvel girl's boobies at NAMM.

tackled Vai, so Don could give wet kisses... :hys:

Enjoy the new Charvel Digi, they both look great!

Oatmeal Raisen in the jam for those who asked btw...............

Hey Curt, the 5.0 is back with 413hp baby for 2011 so I will have time to go slow around those non-straight things in the road

Embellish is an understatement with the Vai story, I heald my ground once I saw Curt reaching for the camera

I have to say that those Charvel shirts seem like they were made for Amy.

No, I don't think Don is interested in giving Vai kisses. Scotty on the other hand........ :D

You did hold your ground buddy, I commend you for that. But I could see you shaking and trembling when Vai walked by and like any good Californian when I see some shaking I crawled under a desk and ducked and covered. When I realized it was just you trembling and not the earth I got back out and you were no where to be seen. I did however hear that high pitched screaming sound like you hear when they show those black and white videos of when the Beatles came to the United States for the first time. So I ran around the corner and saw that it was just you making that noise while chasing Steve Vai down the hall. Poor guy looked like Jack Butler when he was being chased by old Scratch.

See what happens when you don't come to NAMM for two years in a row? The stories keep getting embellished and embellished. Who knows what it will be by next year.

And oh yeah...... KILLER job on the backsplash. I helped my dad with his a couple of weeks ago and it came out really nice too.

It was 20 degrees outside and while a buddy was hanging and measuring I was cutting, had icicles hanging from the saw and had to dump hot water on the table to melt the ice that was forming the whole time. Grouting crap like that is not easy, pretty much hand smashing the stuff into the areas like the bottom border. There is the same pattern on another wall and had 109" on the island as well.

Yeah Amy does indeed wear the Charvel name nicely
