Model number E-LP-98LTC which I think has the long neck tenon and lacquor finish?

I think they are opposite of Gibson...while only some Gibsons use a long tenon all edwards have them

Congrats. A friend of mine recently bought a Sykes LP from yasoo. No probs. Another dude (after I was talking Edwards only - LOL) bought there too, no probs.

Be prepared to get a very resonant, light weighted, beautiful looking, well playing and excellent sounding Lester.


I've bought an Orville yesterday - a Custom (of course), just stumbled over it and couldn't resist to get a spare for my Edwards. The Orville weights just 3.8 kilos (is that 8 pounds or somehing?) - like the Ed, thats why I got her, I'm still looking for my next Ed though . . .

I've changed some stuff on mine though:

Replaced both pickups with (german) Rockingers. An Alnico 2 (PAF-like) neck and Alnico 5 (10kOhm) bridge. I didn't like the stock pickups, although they can be great for some stuff.
Replaced all hardware for chrome stuff (I can't stand golden hardware).Except the tailpiece it was easy: I've used the same Gotoh hardware like Edwards. The Studs for the tailpiece (at least on mine) had this funny US measurements though, not the metric measurements, although the rest was metric.

I think I'm going to put a Duncan Distortion in it for starters as far as mods go....

Very cool LP style guitar, it only weights 8lbs??? Do they still sound as fat as a gibson LP???

I have a 1998 Les Paul Standard with the short tenon I think

I never knew anything about the neck tenon length when I got it back then, it just played real well at the store so I bought it

Yup, all (3) of them except the chinese. My wife wants me to open a store, you know

the Dist/SH6 is nice, but since I have already 2 Schecters with SH6s I wanted something "less" heavy for this Ed.

I want to get another Edwards Custom & this time brand new from Japan.
Did you have to pay any customs or some kind of import tax when you recieved your guitar from Japan?

I had a slightly older one..supposedly had a short tenon, looked long to me....heavy as fuck tho'
