I did something I said I'd never do... Bought from GC used...?

Should be fine.

Tbh I love or used to love the used section of GC.

I've never had a completely horrible experience. I've had a cab ship with broken casters and GC offers a full refund OR a keep it and partial refund.

I've bought a couple amps, one was missing the cable and packed meh and the other was packed like it came from Rig Talk.

Used to be you could find insane deals there because they didnt know what they had but I know times have changed and idk what GC is like these days but I wouldnt hesitate to use them

Most of my gear has come from GC used. I usually have it shipped to my local store and check it out there before accepting it just in case there are any problems. Haven’t had any real issues and scored great deals on everything. I can always return it if it doesn’t work out and I’m only out the shipping cost.

I've bought plenty of amps in their used section. No negative experiences. Some of them even pack and label the tubes in a different box and hand draw a tube layout.

i bought a used 212 cab, shipped out of Tx somewhere... packed well... but buzzed like a bass bait. took it my local GC, and they swapped it for a brand new one...as there were none used in their inventory, anywhere. can't beat that... a little inconvenienced of time and what not, but can't argue with their willingness to make it right (on that day anyway)

Well, it showed up! In a box big enough to house a Bogner oversized 2x12. Seriously. And, FACE DOWN, to boot. Totally careless. It flopped around in there, and SOMEHOW, no damage. Then, the power cord was wrapped in duct tape! Nice and gummy from the hot Florida weather, I couldn't even get the shit off, so cord went in the bin. They're sending me a new one. But, the most important part is, it is in excellent+ condition, and sounds beastly. I even rolled a couple preamp tubes and it really lit up. And as big, warm, dark as it is, and the low mid heavy punch this thing has, it loves the old cheapo SD-1 more than the Flux Drive, or Fortin TS9. I'm sure more tweaking with the Flux Drive it'll sound great, but the SD-1 was pretty simple, quick gratification! Killer amp! (And a great pedal to always have around).

I bought a used Marshall 4x12 from them once… shipping was maybe $30? They put it in a box big enough for 3 4x12s, shoved the cabinet to one side, then filled the rest with bubble wrap. I have no idea how it made it to my house in one piece. My UPS guy was fucking pissed!!!!

I bet. I think the guy that brought this one was too. It was EASILY a big enough box for an oversized 2x12 cabinet.

I sent several pics to the Manager, and he was appalled.

Bought a 2017 blueberry burst a few years back. Came out of the Sacramento GC. Advertised in excellent condition with case. Went to pull it out of the box and no case. Wrapped in 200 ft of bubble wrap which apparently saved the headstock from shearing off. Dents all over the guitar and basically unplayable. Worst guitar I ever put my hands on. Been playing 51 years so that's alot of guitars. Refused it and next day it's up for sale again, same price, description.Too many horror stories on returns requiring repairs just to get relisted next day. I could give a fuck about there return policy. A company ran like that does not get my business. I suspect they'll be insolvent 4-5 years out.

I forgot about the’84 Spector NS2 bass I got from them for a stupid low price that showed up to my local Guitar Center just wrapped once in bubble wrap and put in a box. No case, no double box - just a rare old expensive bass shoved in a box. It was a miracle it arrived not damaged.
