I didn’t make it home

Growing up in Central, Ohio it was common to come out from a gig or a show and your car was gone. Many a night/ morning spent at the impound lot thanks to Shamrock Towing. I think they eventually got busted for towing too many cars that weren’t illegal parked. OSU campus was so much fun in the 80’s.

My tire blew after an Alice Cooper concert and it sucked. I was like wtf?
One time my car blew up at a stop sign. I jerry rigged it back together with a speaker wire and limped it from south St.Louis to the Riverport Amphitheater in Maryland heights to see Yes ( Union tour) and after the concert I took my plates off the car and left it in the parking lot and hitch hiked back home to south St. Louis. 🤷‍♂️

Finally got my ride back. It cost me two paychecks. I had a good cry and then went to Guitar Center, the place where sad old men go to cope. I fit right in. I helped another sad old man decide between two Taylors. I feel better now.

You know, I stopped by Guitar Center today and there were 2 used amps that I have never seen in person -- a Fryette and a Hiwatt. I didn't have time to play them, so I might return soon before they sell. Still not 1 Marshall head in the store, which is sad.
