been listening to Pride - man I love his playing and tone on that!

Yeah he was great! Too bad he bailed from the biz after WL.... :(

He was a good player, but I really hated that band.

I want the tab for the version that Asian kid pulled off.

Awesome guitarist.. really too bad he pulled the shute on playing. Great Phrasing.. his tapping was tasteful. The Tramp lion show now is god aweful tuned down to B it seems. Total shit.

I have to say out of most of the 80s band WL really had their own style ,sure the Guitarist borrowed a bit from EVH but there was so much of his own voice as well and Mike Tramp .
They had a signature sound and the music was very intricate .great melody and note choices ..its too bad they could not get together again and maybe release another album .They were standout in that genre IMO of course

I always thought he was a better version of EVH. :D

I agree Darren. Little Fighter is one of my favorite solos from that era.

The Wait solo is awesome... great tapping phrasing. So melodic yet it has all of the tapping tricks (tapped harmonics, tap slides, etc) that Vito made sound so good...

This. Van Halen chops with better phrasing to me. His playing was so melodic. One of my top five guitarists of all times for sure. I just bought Pride again for the second time a few weeks ago so I've been listening to it a lot. So much incredible stuff just seems to drip out of his fingers. Too bad he hung it up. Wonder if he plays any for himself or just totally gave it up. Damn shame if he did.

+100 - I just heard this song again on classic rock radio and thought "Man, that is a tasty and nicely done solo!"

I picked up a greatest hits collection off the Rhino records website that has a bunch of live stuff on it and Vito just flat out rips.
I thought I was alone in thinking he was one of the better 80's players.

I heard a story that he blew his hands out and had damaged nerves and couldn't play for a long time, but recently has been able to.
Don't know if White Lion is together or not.
