I have given up on owning any other guitars than strats!

I pretty much agree. My prized HSS hardtail was stolen last year and I'm having a hard time finding an affordable replacement (I only like hardtails). Whenever I find another one that I like, my Les Paul will be gone. I still have my Robert Cray sig strat and I love it to death..............but I need an HSS to compliment. I bought a brand new ESP Horizon NTII last year and it felt like a toy in my hands compared to a good strat. Not to mention countless other guitars.

You could just pick up another RC Strat and toss in a HSS pickguard and load it up with whatever you want, no?

It would require routing underneath the guard. I don't really want to take that on.

I wanted something a bit differant, but there is no point lol, I like bog standard strats with humbuckers in the bridges without floyd roses.

Guess I will have to spend my new guitar money on a new 2009 upgraded strat.

I've been told that happens to every guitarist eventually. You buy gear, you sell gear, and you ultimately settle on a Fender and a nice tube combo.
