I :thumbsup: t has the most RAW & HEAVIEST SOUND OUT THERE!.
I love when you reverse the gain and volumes to produce a punchy bell like clean !
Absolute FANTASTIC JOB ENGL! DEFINATELY A PROUD OWNER FOR 2 YEARS SO FAR! ITS GOT ITS OWN VOICE TOO,,, NOT JUST ANOTHER WANNABE AMP! :rock:
PS,, I DONT OWN A RECTIFIER ANYMORE! NEVER AGAIN AS THE ENGL REINS SUPREME OVERLORD OF BALLS N DESTRUCTION AS WELL AS ANGELIC CLEANS ,,, ALL I CAN SAY IS DIEZEL WHO? WOW!!!

It's different sounding then any Fryette/VHT stuff thats for sure... But as far as heaviness goes.... it's right up there with it and has alittle more punch in the bass. Some like it some dont :rock: :rock:

gain is much more saturated in the FB, but the UL has a growl to it that is just amazing, one is 6l6 and the other is KT88, so there is that diff as well....the engl seemed better built to me though, would have either though and be very happy
 
aaand that concludes my "Plank Cranker" status, apparently.. :rock:
