Just ordered a set of SH-5 Duncan Custom & 59' in white for my new Les Paul i'll be picking up Tuesday.

I know that these pups will be every bit as good as all the other SD pups ive bought over the years.

They are so consistent that i know exactly what im getting.

I know there are lots of killer pups these days but i always seem to go back to Seymour ...

Same here. I just love the Duncan's. Never really could bond with any dimarzio I've tried but I did love some mcp pickups I've had

I got the set for $158 shipped free Priority mail.

I looked alot but can't justify spending $300 to $500 for pups.

I love Seymour Duncan pickups, especially the antiquities and Seth lovers.

I like the Dimarzio 36th anniversary a lot as well.

Love SD pups. The Custom / '59 combo is great. I agree that pups shouldn't realistically cost as much as a lot of boutique builders are charging, but these Lundgren pups I got for $400 a set are pretty awesome...

I've tried a lot of the expensive boutique pickups including Seymour Duncans custom shop and the standard off shelf Duncans and Dimarzios work best for me

Another SD fan here...JB, Custom 5, Distortion and Pearly Gates. All big winners for me in my Gibsons and Fenders.

The only SD pickups I have ever really liked were ordered thru the custom shop and wound by MJ.

I don't know what kind of voodoo MJ puts in her winds, but I'm telling ya my MJ wound Screamin Demon sounds a world apart from a normal production ones (I have 3 others).

SH-6 has always been my default pickup. Nazgul is really good too. Best pickup I've ever had though is my MCP alnico Solution.

I like SD's paf-type pickups. For anything else, I prefer Dimarzio. Blucher is an innovator.

I'm the same exact way. I love the Duncan distortion but have a nazgul in a charvel and love be it. I guess I need to try a solution. I've had a few 2nd degree black belts and a set of detroiters.

There are some Duncans that I like (Custom/59 Hybrid, Custom 5, Screamin' Demon (as a neck pup)) and I'm curious about putting an A8 in a JB and an A4 in a '59 Neck to get rid of some boomyness and add some mids. Duncan Distortion can be nice (when no subtlety is needed). Very curious about Pearly Gates too.

And there are some DiMarzio's that I like...that list is a bit longer.
Norton  , Air Norton  , AT-1  , Super Distortion, Breed Neck (in the right guitar), 36th Anniv. PAF, ToneZone (in the right guitar) Chopper, Virtual Vintage Blues 2 and to a lesser extent the Evo Neck.

All of my guitars have Seymour Duncan SH-8 Invaders in them.
