Advice and/or criticism on the tone/blending wanted, I already know that I suck a mixing :yes:

Only three rhythm tracks until 0:27. Needs Vocals!

This may be too much nerdy detail, even for RT. I used a VHT Pittbull UL and a Rhodes/KSR modded rev F Triple Rectifier. Signal:

Gibson V with a 500t bridge -> Furman PQ6 -> Amp(Loop:EQ/PEQ) -> two Splawn 4x12's(alnico gold/classic lead combo in one, v30/creambacks in the other)

In the loop of the Mesa, I used my PQ6, cutting a ton at 400 and 600. Boosting a bit at 1.6k. Here's what the EQ in the loop of the VHT looked like, haha:

And it's on board EQ. Yeah, I used two EQ's, sue me

The alnico gold(where most of the sound is coming from) is miked with an e906 and an i5. There's a 57 on the v30 and another i5 on the creamback. I recorded two tracks each, the Mesa being panned 100% and the VHT 80%. Most of the sound is coming from the Mesa, the VHT is really only adding a bit of upper mid crunch, or some "twang", if that makes sense.

Sounds pretty sick, and god damn is it nice to not hear fuckin' 80's guitar riffs. I finally plugged my vht in after not playing for a long time, really liking it at the moment.

Edit: I don't think it sounds angry at all. I totally was imagining cheerleaders dancing to this while I was listening to it. :rock:

Holy aggressive eq! The results are anger-ific!

mmm...chrome chassis recto! \m/

That's a lorra EQ bands :shock:

Sounds good to me. I'm curious is there a bass track?

Thanks for the listen guys.

Yeah, the VHT had a cocked wah like tone that would have been pretty unusable on it's own

Yes but apparently not enough, hah. It's probably hard to hear since the lows are so overcrowded by the drums. It drops out from 2:00-2:06
