I need a bit more clean headroom on Tweaker 40 combo...

Anything after 10-11 o'clock is starting to break up. I checked the bias and I adjusted from 73 to 65 and now I guess I have to change preamp tubes or add the additional 112 cab. Has anyone done this?

Where is the Master volume set? If you haven't tried it, crank the Master on that channel and use the the Gain to get where you need volume wise.

Vintage. USA, normal, normal, clean, deep
I loved the 15 so I bought the 40 hoping to use it with the band.

I need a clean sound 50% of the time and this amp breaks up at 10:00 / master cranked and is totally useless with a drummer when clean. This is a weak 40 watt amp IMO. I have a Peavey classic 30 that is twice as loud.

Something isn't right... The Tweaker 40 is a very loud amp..(I have 2 of them.. A head and combo) i do use different speakers with mine.... 100 watt WGS ET90's...Have you tried different preamp tubes? You might have a bad one in your amp.
