I haven't owned a wah in years but i have to get one because some songs i need to play have some wah. I had a Budda Wah which i thought was good. I see Fulltone's and RMC wah's that cost over $200, but why is it that that BBE wah sounds as good as any of them? I guess I'm looking for something that won't crap out on me, true bypass, and a good sound.

I see the MXR CAE wah for $169 which has the features i need, anyone own that?

Fulltone Clyde Deluxe for me... Lined 'em all up, tried 'em all out, the best 'feel' and tone was the Clyde for me.

Just sayin',
V.

My buddy has some kind of Vox wah and that thing is just nasty in a great way. :D I have to get one.

I have the mxr/cae wah and it's awesome. My favorite wah out of the ones I've tried.

HIGHLY recommend the MC-404!

the RMC3 is the ultimate wah. Find your own sound with that thing. Completely adjustable. This can be a curse in the wrong hands. Lots of tweaking. Lots.

But in the end there is nothing that does what this thing does IMO

for all the hype RMC gets, i wasn't very impressed with the Joe Walsh one.

EVH wah sucked balls.

Keeley was good.

that's all i have to say about that! :D

I have the cae and rmc3. I like the rmc for the ability to tweak it in so many ways, bit I have the cae on my pedal board. It sounds great, and I like the different options available with the kick switches. I think the cae is the better choice for the money. I say that with the thought that I may sell my rmc so I guess I'm not a good sales person. ;)

I haven't tried a lot, but I'm using a Cantrell right now and I dig it. It's smooth and has a broad sweep.

The pre Peavey Bud Wah works great for me. Simple, the sound works for me for the most part. It doesn't hold up so well with chording, but that's not why we use wah pedals anyway is it! :D

I've tried alot of wahs, but I always come back to an old Budda Bud Wah. I like the older style. It sounds better than the newer one IMO.

Original Dunlop 535 (pre "Q")...I've tried almost everything out there and it's still my main wah now 14 years running.

I owned an RMC3 and sold it to get the MXR Bradshaw 404. I have not for 1 second regretted that I did it. The 404 freaking kills!

Pulled the trigger on the MC-404 for a decent price.

I use the Morley Tremonti and the Bad Horsie 2.....love both. Had the Cantrell...sold it. No regrets...just wasn't for me.

Hate to admit it but I really like my son's Hammett wah pedal. I have an original Dunlop Cry Baby that I purchased about 15 years ago. I am not a huge fan of it since it is pretty limited in its sweep. Switching it out is at the bottom of my priority list so I just use my sons here and there. I think it sounds great.

I have heard great things about the Budda and MC-404. Looking forward to your thoughts.

Dan - Would love to hear/watch a You Tube vid of you playing it.
