I am having a really tough time trying to get this sound from my VH4
The song is Dead tree by the band Dir En Grey. i am doing a cover with my band for the first time
please don't mind the Vocalist... he does some weird stuff, but desont do drugs (I promise haha). he was pretty sick, but does a very good job

The part I am playing is the guitarist on the left of the screen whose guitar always comes throught the left speaker (panned left?) and he plays through the VH4
starting at around 1:36 he plays these chords through channel 3 (while the other guitarist plays some dead notes and harmonics) and I just cannot get these to come out sounding as clear as his do. i must be doing something wrong with the EQ cause I have tried everything concerning technique.
Tunning is Drop C# and I know he uses EMG's now, but when he didn't (a JB), it still sounded very clear... maybe even better.
